New Issue: HSBC prices $4.7 million buffered uncapped market notes on S&P 500, ETF

Madison, Wis., Dec. 31 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $4.7 million of 0% buffered uncapped market participation securities due Dec. 31, 2020 linked to a weighted basket of the S&P 500 index and the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The index carries a weight of 80%, and the fund has a weight of 20%.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.05 times any gain in the basket.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 20% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 20%.
