Barclays plans Accelerated Return Notes linked to S&P 500

San Luis Obispo, Calif., May 30 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 14-month 0% Accelerated Return Notes due August 2015 linked to the S&P 500 index via BofA Merrill Lynch, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus triple any index gain, subject to a maximum return of 10% to 14%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will be exposed to any decline in the index.
The notes will price in June and settle in July.
