New Issue: Barclays prices $5.89 million capped leveraged buffered notes on S&P 500

New York, April 28 - Barclays Bank plc priced $5,892,000 of 0% capped leveraged buffered index-linked notes due Oct. 26, 2015 tied to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.2 times the index return, subject to a maximum payout of $1,156 per $1,000 of notes.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% index decline beyond the 10% buffer.
Barclays is the underwriter.
