Goldman Sachs changes participation rate for notes linked to S&P 500

Tacoma, Wash., Jan. 29 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. changed the participation rate range for its upcoming 60-month 0% leveraged buffered notes linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.2 times to 1.3 times - increased from 1.15 times to 1.25 times - the index return. The exact participation rate will be set at pricing.

Investors will receive par if the index declines by 25% or less and will lose 1.3333% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 25%.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The Cusip number is 38147QAP1.
