Goldman plans callable buffered monthly range accrual notes on S&P 500

Madison, Wis., Dec. 3 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price callable buffered monthly range accrual notes due Dec. 26, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest will be 5.8% for each day that the index closes at or above the 80% barrier level. Interest will be payable monthly.

The notes will be callable at par on any interest payment date after one year.

The payout at maturity will be par if the index falls by up to 20%.

Otherwise, investors will be exposed to any losses beyond 20%.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The notes will price on Dec. 20 and settle on Dec. 26.

The Cusip number is 38147Q2S4.
