Barclays plans one-year PLUS with 12.15%-15.15% cap linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Dec. 6 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Dec. 20, 2013 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par of $10.00 plus triple any index gain, up to a maximum payout of $11.215 to $11.515 per note. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will be exposed to any losses.
Barclays is the agent with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC as dealer.
The notes will price on Dec. 7 and settle three days later.
The Cusip number is 06742A321.
