New Issue: Goldman Sachs prices $2.03 million leveraged notes linked to S&P 500

San Diego, Oct. 12 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $2.03 million of 0% leveraged index-linked notes due April 15, 2014 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus three times any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,207.00 per $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will be fully exposed to losses if the index declines.

The initial index level of 1,439.45 is higher than the actual closing level of the index on the pricing date, which was 1,432.56.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
