Citigroup plans 0% three-year index-linked notes linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Aug. 2 - Citigroup Funding Inc. plans to price 0% index-linked notes due Aug. 28, 2014 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 120% to 125% of any index gain. The exact upside participation rate will be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index declines by up to 20% and will be fully exposed to losses if the index declines more than 20%.
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. is the underwriter.
The notes will price Aug. 25 and settle three business days later.
The Cusip is 1730T0NG0.
