New Issue: Goldman prices $11.44 million leveraged index-linked notes on S&P 500

New York, July 26 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $11.44 million of 0% leveraged index-linked notes due Aug. 8, 2012 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, up to the maximum settlement amount of $1,191.60 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.
Investors will be exposed to any losses.
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC is the agent with Goldman Sachs & Co. as co-agent.
