New Issue: Goldman sells $2.51 million more buffered notes on S&P 500, MSCI EAFE

Chicago, Feb. 4 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $2.51 million additional 0% buffered basket-linked notes due Aug. 21, 2014 based on the S&P 500 index with a 70% weight and the MSCI EAFE index with a 30% weight, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The add-on priced at 101.85, bringing the total issue to $11.4 million. The issuer originally priced $8.89 million of the notes.
The payout at maturity will be par plus any increase in the basket. Investors will receive par if the basket declines by 25% or less and will lose 1.3333% for every 1% that it declines beyond 25%.
