New Issue: HSBC prices $1.73 million AMPS linked to S&P 500

Philadelphia, Oct. 27 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $1.73 million of 0% Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Jan. 30, 2012 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus triple any increase in the index, subject to a maximum return of 17%.

Investors will lose 1% for every 1% the index declines from its initial level.
