New Issue: HSBC prices $20.42 million autocallable Stars linked to S&P 500

Buffalo, N.Y., Dec. 6 – HSBC Bank plc priced $20.42 million autocallable Strategic Accelerated Redemption Securities due Nov. 26, 2029 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be automatically called at an annualized call premium of 7.75% if the closing level of the index is greater than or equal to its initial level on any annual determination date, including maturity.

Investors will receive par if the index declines by no more than 15% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the index beyond 15%.
