New Issue: Scotiabank prices $1.15 million buffered PLUS linked to S&P 500

Buffalo, N.Y., Oct. 18 – Bank of Nova Scotia priced $1.15 million of 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Jan. 19, 2024 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any index gain, capped at par plus 25.25%.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.
