New Issue: HSBC prices $1.89 million buffered AMPS linked to index basket

Olympia, Wash., Feb. 20 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $1.89 million of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Feb. 21, 2023 linked to a basket containing the S&P 500 index with a 33.33% weight, the Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 33.33% weight and the Nikkei 225 index with a 33.33% weight, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the basket return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 2 times the basket return, subject to a maximum return of 31%. Investors will receive par if the basket declines by 10% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 10%.
