By Devika Patel

Knoxville, Tenn., May 19 – AutoNation Inc. intends to sell fixed-rate senior notes (//BBB-), according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes feature a make-whole call and then a par call.

BofA Securities Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc., Wells Fargo Securities LLC, Mizuho Securities USA Inc. and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are the bookrunners.

The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., automotive retailer will use the proceeds to reduce debt under its commercial paper program and/or revolving credit facility, to repay its 3.35% notes due 2021 and for general corporate purposes.
