New Issue: HSBC prices $533,000 contingent income barrier autocallables tied to three stocks

By Kiku Steinfeld

Chicago, Jan. 29 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $533,000 of autocallable contingent income barrier notes due Jan. 22, 2024 linked to the least performing of the common stocks of Visa Inc., Southwest Airlines Co. and JD.com, Inc., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Each month, the notes will pay a contingent coupon at an annual rate of 11.3% if each stock closes at or above its coupon trigger price, 55% of the initial share price, on the observation date for that month.

The notes will be called at par plus the contingent coupon if each stock closes at or above 95% of its initial share price on any quarterly call date after six months.

If the notes are not called, the payout at maturity will be par unless any stock finishes below its 55% trigger level, in which case investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the least performing stock.
