SouthernSun U.S. Equity Fund launches with three share classes

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, April 5 - SouthernSun Funds has launched the SouthernSun U.S. Equity Fund with three share classes, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund's investor, institutional and class C shares will trade under the symbols "SSEFX," "SSEIX" and "SSECX," respectively.

The fund seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its assets in equity securities of small- to middle-capitalization U.S. companies.

Michael W. Cook is the fund's portfolio manager.

There are no shareholder fees, other than a 2% redemption fee applied to shares held less than 30 days.

Management fees are 0.85%. With the fee waiver, the total annual fund operating expenses are expected to be 1.36% for investor shares, 1.11% for institutional shares and 2.11% for class C shares.

Memphis-based SouthernSun Asset Management, LLC is the fund's investment adviser.
