SolarCity, Credit Suisse create $300 million fund for solar projects

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 17 – SolarCity Corp. partnered with Credit Suisse to create a new fund to finance more than $300 million of solar projects, the company said in a press release.

The fund, SolarCity’s fourth such collaboration with Credit Suisse, will be used for residential solar projects in the United States.

The new fund follows a $305 million cash equity financing and a fund to finance $347 million of projects with Citi, both of which closed in September.

SolarCity is a San Mateo, Calif., provider of clean energy.
