Smithtown Bancorp investor Sandler O'Neill cuts ownership to 4.37%

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 24 - A group of shareholders led by Sandler O'Neill Asset Management, LLC sold 150,000 shares of Smithtown Bancorp, Inc. between Sept. 1 and Sept. 15 priced from $12.76 to $13.36 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors beneficially own 650,000 shares, or 4.37%, of the Smithtown, N.Y., bank holding company.
