Smart Online chairman owns 2.4 million shares of company stock

Charlotte, N.C., June 16 - Smart Online, Inc. chairman Doron Roethler reported the purchase of 216,100 shares of the company's stock between May 19 and May 30 priced from $2.50 to $3.00 each, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Roethler owns a total of 2,403,353 shares, or 13.18%, of the company's common stock, which he bought for a total of $2.61 million.

Smart Online, based in Durham, N.C., develops and markets software-as-a-service products and services.
