Penn's Small Cap Value Fund adds Sean Butkus as portfolio manager

San Diego, Feb. 10 - Penn Series Funds, Inc. announced that Sean A. Butkus has been added as a portfolio manager for the Small Cap Value Fund.

He joins Sally Pope Davis, Robert Crystal and J. Kelly Flynn, all existing portfolio managers of the fund.

Butkus is the vice president of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, LP, the fund's investment subadviser. He joined GSAM in 2004 and previously worked on the Business Planning Team of the Investment Management Division. Prior to that, he worked for Arthur Andersen LLP.

Horsham, Pa.-based Independence Capital Management, Inc. serves as the investment adviser to the fund.
