Institutional share class of four Security funds closed to investments

Minneapolis, Feb. 1 - Security Equity Fund and Security Mid Cap Growth Fund announced that the institutional share class of four funds is closed to all new investments, according to a 497 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The affected funds are the Large Cap Core Institutional Fund, the Small Cap Growth Institutional Fund, the Large Cap Concentrated Growth Institutional Fund and the Mid Cap Growth Institutional Fund.

The institutional share class of these funds will be open to accept purchases from investors beginning on March 1, 2012, unless otherwise indicated.

The Security Equity Fund became the Rydex/SGI Equity Fund and the Security Mid Cap Growth Fund became the Rydex/SGI Mid Cap Growth Fund in 2009 when Security Global Investors launched a unified brand with Rydex Investments. The funds' investment adviser is Rockville, Md.-based Security Investors, LLC, a subsidiary of Security Global investors.
