Fitch affirms Slovenia

Fitch Ratings said it has affirmed Slovenia's long-term foreign and local currency issuer default ratings at AA with stable outlooks.

Fitch said it has also affirmed Slovenia's short-term foreign currency issuer default rating at F1+ and country ceiling at AAA.

According to the agency, Slovenia's AA ratings are underpinned by its status as an advanced transition country, its well-diversified economy and its stable and effective political, social and civil institutions that lend credibility to the government's policy framework and facilitate the pursuit of prosperity.

These fundamental strengths have supported the stability of its macroeconomic performance over the past decade during, which output volatility has been lower than Slovenia's rated peers, the agency noted.
