Sirius XM redeems 5¼% senior secured notes due 2022 at 102.625

Morgantown, W.Va., Sept. 1 – Sirius XM Radio Inc. redeemed all $400 million of its outstanding 5¼% senior secured notes due 2022 on Sept. 1, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes were redeemed at 102.625 plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

Sirius XM previously announced that it intended to redeem the 5¼% notes using proceeds from an issuance of new notes. On Aug. 2 the company priced a $250 million add-on to its 3 7/8% senior notes due 2022 and a $250 million add-on to the 5% notes due 2027.

Sirius XM is a New York-based radio broadcasting company.
