S&P rates Aurora, Ill., G.O. bonds AA+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned a long-term AA+ rating to Aurora, Ill.'s series 2008 general obligation bonds.

The agency said that the bonds are dated May 15 and will mature on Dec. 30, 2038.

The agency added that the AA ratings on the city's installment contract and debt certificates has been affirmed and is set one notch below the city's G.O. rating to reflect the certificates' limited security.
