City of Aurora, Ill., to sell $85.5 million in G.O. bonds May 13

New York, May 2 - The City of Aurora, Kane, DuPage, Kendall and Will counties in Illinois plans to sell $85.5 million in series 2008 general obligation bonds, a preliminary official statement said.

The bonds ( /AA+/ ) will be sold on a competitive basis on May 13. Speer Financial is the financial adviser for the sale.

The bonds are due in a serial structure from Dec. 30, 2009 to Dec. 30, 2038.

Proceeds will be used to finance the acquisition and construction of a police station and related police facilities, emergency equipment and other capital improvements.
