Seychelles launches exchange offer for 9 1/8% notes, amortizing notes

Tacoma, Wash., Dec. 7 - The Republic of Seychelles has begun an offer to issue new bonds in exchange for its 9 1/8% notes due 2011 and amortizing notes due 2011, according to a government news release.

Also eligible for the exchange offer are some loans with Seychelles as obligor.

The republic said the terms of the exchange offer will be dispatched to the eligible holders by the information agent, D.F. King & Co., Inc.
