Chicago, Aug. 8 – Sempra Energy’s subsidiary Sempra Renewables obtained $85 million of tax-equity funding from Wells Fargo Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance.

The funding will be used for Sempra Renewables’ 200-megawatt solar generation facility near Fresno, Calif., and represents the last phase of more than $190 million of financing for four solar farms known as the Sempra great valley solar project, according to an announcement by Wells Fargo.

Sempra Energy is a San Diego-based natural gas utilities holding company.
