Seattle defeases 2008 municipal light and power improvement bonds

Norfolk, Va., Jan. 29 – The City of Seattle defeased its series 2008 municipal light and power improvement and refunding revenue bonds, according to a notice.

The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on April 1, 2019:

• $10.56 million of 5.25% bonds due April 1, 2020;

• $11,145,000 of 5.5% bonds due April 1, 2021;

• $10.22 million of 5.5% bonds due April 1, 2022;

• $10.81 million of 5.75% bonds due April 1, 2023;

• $23.64 million of 6% bonds due April 1, 2025; and

• $56.41 million of 5.75% bonds due April 1, 2029.

Zions Bank is the refunding trustee.
