Seattle coordinates $258.67 million muni light and power deal

New York, Oct. 15 – The City of Seattle is expected to price $258,665,000 of series 2014 municipal light and power improvement and refunding revenue bonds on Oct. 22, according to a preliminary official statement.

The bonds (Aa2/AA/) will be sold competitively with Piper Jaffray & Co. as the financial adviser.

The bonds are due 2015 to 2044.

Proceeds will be used to finance capital improvements and upgrades to the city’s light system, as well as to refund the city’s series 2004 municipal light and power improvement and refunding revenue bonds.
