Seattle defeases $219.47 million of water system and refunding bonds

Minneapolis, May 29 - The City of Seattle defeased $219,465,000 of its series 2003 and 2004 water system and refunding revenue bonds, according to two defeasance notices.

The city defeased $151.34 million of its 2003 bonds due 2014 through 2025, 2028 and 2033. The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Sept. 1, 2013.

The city also defeased $68,125,000 of its 2004 bonds due 2015 through 2029 and 2034. The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Sept. 1, 2014.

U.S. Bank NA is the trustee.
