Sears Chapter 11 plan confirmation hearing rescheduled for Sept. 18

Pittsburgh, Aug. 9 – Sears Holdings Corp.’s Chapter 11 plan confirmation hearing has been rescheduled for Sept. 18, according to a notice filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The hearing was previously scheduled for Aug. 16.

Plan ballots will be accepted through 5 p.m. ET on Sept. 3.

In addition, the company said in a separate notice that the hearing on its motion for modification of retiree benefits has been postponed to Aug. 22 from Aug. 12.

Sears is a retailer based in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 15, 2018 under Chapter 11 case number 18-23538.
