ValueAct buys more than 1.22 million shares of Sealy

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 23 - A group of Sealy Corp. investors led by ValueAct Capital Master Fund III, LP reported the purchase of 1,228,208 shares in a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shares were acquired between Aug. 11 and Sept. 19 at prices from $7.41 to $8.15 each, the filing said.

ValueAct beneficially owns 3,471,252 shares, or 3.8%, of the Trinity, N.C., bedding manufacturer.
