Satyam Computer investors sell 27.24 million shares, keep 4.6% stake

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 1 - A group of investors led by Larsen & Toubro Ltd. sold 27,243,414 shares of Satyam Computer Services Ltd. on Nov. 13 for Rs. 112.52 per share, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors beneficially own 53,889,300 shares, or 4.6%, of the Hyderabad, India-based outsourcing company.

In February 2009, Larsen & Toubro reported an initial purchase of 81,132,714 shares of Satyam for a 12% stake.

Larsen & Toubro is India's largest engineering and construction conglomerate with additional interests in electrical and electronics, information technology and other diversified businesses, a prior SEC filing said.
