Atlas America tenders common stock in Dutch auction, stock priced at $52 to $54 per share

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 8 - Atlas America, Inc. began a Dutch auction tender offer for up to 1.95 million, or 10%, of its outstanding common stock to price between $52 and $54 per share.

The offer will expire at 5 p.m. ET on March 9.

If the offer is over-subscribed, Atlas America will purchase first from shareholders owning fewer than 100 shares, according to a company news release.

Atlas America is a natural gas and oil producer based in Moon Township, Pa.
