R.W. Pressprich adds Ruggiero as managing director, head of research

Minneapolis, Sept. 11 - R.W. Pressprich & Co. announced that Steve Ruggiero has joined the firm as managing director, head of research, according to a press release.

In the new role, Ruggiero will continue to publish research reports and will manage R.W. Pressprich's group of professional analysts and desk strategists.

A graduate of Middlebury College with an MBA from NYU Stern Graduate School of Business, he has held senior positions as head of high-yield research at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, JPMorgan Chase, UBS and CRT Capital Research.

"Steve Ruggiero has consistently appeared in the top rankings of high-yield analysts in the Institutional Investor surveys," Chairman Edward J. Rappa said in the release.

"We are delighted that he has chosen our firm and look forward to him leading our research effort. His experience and leadership will further our determination to bring added value to our client relationships."

New York-based R.W. Pressprich is an institutional broker/dealer.
