R.W. Pressprich adds five hires to sales, trading, convertibles desk

San Luis Obispo, Calif., April 29 - R.W. Pressprich & Co. announced in a press release that it has added five professionals to its sales, trading and research platforms.

Paul McMahon joins the firm as a managing director and will focus on expanding and building the convertible bond business. A seasoned convertible bond salesman, McMahon joins from Oppenheimer & Co. and has also worked with Cowen, Bank of America and Deutsche Bank.

Scott Watson also joins the convertible desk as a managing director. He has more than 20 years of experience in convertible markets as a sellside trader and as a portfolio manager at Forest investment Management and Stark Investments.

Andrew Albert joins the company as a managing director in the Equity Sales and Trading group. Albert co-founded Shelter Harbor Capital, a global macro hedge fund, and also held senior positions at Weeden & Co., CRT Capital and Pali Capital.

Jim McGibbon has been named a managing director in Banking & Investments. With former positions at Arthur Andersen & Co., Credit Suisse First Boston, Invemed Associates and Home Depot's Strategy and M&A group, McGibbon has more than 15 years of experience providing financial advice to both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and for public and private company investments.

Jeff Menapace joins R.W. Pressprich as a corporate bond desk analyst. He was previously employed by Jesup & Lamont and Wonderlich Securities and also as a high-yield analyst at BlackRock and Schroders. He also developed programs for analysis of electronic intelligence data at the National Security Agency.

New York-based R.W. Pressprich is an institutional broker/dealer.
