Moody's rates Atlantic Health bonds A1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A1 rating to Atlantic Health System, N.J.'s upcoming $180 million issue of series 2008A bonds.

The A1 rating represents an upgrade for the system from A2. It results from improved financial performance for the two-hospital system as it shed underperforming hospitals and pursued strategic initiatives that have enhanced its growth and market stature.

The outlook is stable.

Sale of the 2008A bonds is expected on April 22.
