S&P: Russell on watch
Standard & Poor's said it placed its ratings on Russell Corp. on CreditWatch with negative implications, including the company's BB- long-term corporate credit rating and B+ senior unsecured rating.
The CreditWatch placement follows the company's announcement that it is revising earnings guidance downward for the second fiscal quarter as a result of short-term operational issues and lower-than-anticipated cost reductions, S&P noted.
The agency said the company also stated it would not be able to make up the earnings shortfall for the full year.
