New Issue: GS Finance sells $1.56 million index-linked notes on Russell, Nasdaq

Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 3 – GS Finance Corp. priced $1.56 million of 0% index-linked notes due Nov. 4, 2020 tied to the Russell 2000 index and the Nasdaq-100 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

A trigger event will occur if either index closes below its 75% trigger level any day during the life of the notes.

If a trigger event has not occurred, the payout at maturity will be par plus 11.25%.

Otherwise, investors will receive par plus the return of the lesser performing index if either index declines and par if the final level of the laggard index is zero or positive.
