New Issue: GS Finance sells $495,000 index-linked notes tied to S&P, Russell

Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 8 – GS Finance Corp. priced $495,000 of 0% index-linked notes due Aug. 5, 2024 linked to the lesser performing of the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the final values of both indexes are equal to or greater than their initial values, the payout at maturity will be par plus 36.5%.

If the worse performing index falls by up to 40%, investors will receive the absolute value of that index’s return. Otherwise, investors will be exposed to the decline of the lesser performing index.
