New Issue: GS Finance sells $857,000 index-linked notes on S&P 500, Russell

Columbus, Ohio, July 9 – GS Finance Corp. priced $857,000 of 0% index-linked notes due July 1, 2021 linked to the lesser performing of the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the return of each index is greater than or equal to its initial level, the payout will be par plus the return of the lesser performing index, up to a maximum payout of par plus 25.25%.

If the return of either index is negative but not by more than 85% of its initial level, the payout will be par plus the absolute value of the return of the lesser-performing index.

Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the lesser performing index from its initial level.
