New Issue: GS Finance sells $571,000 callable contingent coupon notes on Russell, Nasdaq

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, June 26 – GS Finance Corp. priced $571,000 of callable contingent coupon notes due June 26, 2024 linked to the Russell 2000 index and the Nasdaq-100 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Each quarter, the notes pay a contingent coupon at a rate of 6.5% per year if each index closes at or above 60% of its initial level on the observation date for that period.

The notes are callable at par on any coupon payment date.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the coupon, unless either index finishes below 60% of its initial level, in which case investors will be fully exposed to the loss of the lesser performing index.
