New Issue: GS Finance sells $5.28 million callable contingent coupon notes on Russell, S&P

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., May 30 – GS Finance Corp. priced $5.28 million of callable contingent coupon notes due May 31, 2024 linked to the Russell 2000 index and the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Each six months, the notes pay a contingent coupon at a rate of 5.3% per year if each index closes at or above 55% of its initial level on the observation date for that period

The notes are callable at par on any coupon payment date.

If each index finishes at or above 55% of its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the final coupon. Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the worse performing index.
