New Issue: GS Finance sells $839,000 leveraged buffered notes on Russell 2000

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 7 – GS Finance Corp. priced $839,000 of 0% leveraged buffered notes due Jan. 10, 2022 tied to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of the return, subject to a maximum settlement amount of $1,335 per $1,000 of notes. Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 20% and lose 1.25% for every 1% decline below the buffer.
