New Issue: Morgan Stanley sells $1.16 million contingent income autocallables linked to indexes

By Devika Patel

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 28 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC priced $1,156,000 of contingent income autocallable securities due Dec. 9, 2026 linked to the worst performing of the Russell 2000 index, the Nasdaq-100 index, the Euro Stoxx 50 index and the MSCI Emerging Markets index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

A one-time fixed coupon payment of 3% will be paid on March 7, 2019 and the notes will pay a contingent monthly coupon at an annual rate of 9% if each index closes at or above its coupon threshold level, 70% of its initial level, on the determination date for that month.

The notes will be called at par plus the contingent coupon if each index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly determination date beginning on March 4, 2019.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the final coupon, if any, unless either index finishes below the 60% downside threshold level, in which case investors will be fully exposed to any losses of the worst performing index.
