New Issue: GS Finance sells $4.5 million of 6.75% notes on Russell, EAFE indexes

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 27 – GS Finance Corp. priced $4.5 million of 6.75% notes due Dec. 23, 2019 linked to the Russell 2000 index and the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
Interest is payable monthly.
The payout at maturity will be par unless either index finishes below the buffer level, 80% of the initial level, in which case investors will lose 1.25% for each 1% decline of the worse performing index beyond the 20% buffer.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
