New Issue: GS Finance prices $839,000 leveraged buffered notes on indexes

Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 7 – GS Finance Corp. priced $839,000 of 0% leveraged buffered notes due Nov. 2, 2023 linked to the lesser performing of the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If each index finishes at or above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 2.5 times the return of the lesser performing index, up to a maximum of $1,675 for each $1,000 of notes.

If either index falls but neither falls by more than 20%, the payout will be par.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the worse performing index beyond 20%.
