RBC plans 0% three-year autocallable notes tied to Russell 2000

Chicago, Sept. 21 – Royal Bank of Canada plans to price 0% autocallable notes due Sept. 30, 2021 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be called at par plus an annual call premium of 7.2% to 8% if the index closes at or above its initial level on any annual call observation date after one year.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain.

Investors will be exposed to any losses.

RBC Capital Markets, LLC is the underwriter.

The notes will price on Sept. 26.

The Cusip number is 78013XG44.
