New Issue: GS Finance prices $596,000 8% autocallable fixed-coupon notes on Dow, Nasdaq, Russell
By Wendy Van Sickle
Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 22 – GS Finance Corp. priced $596,000 8% autocallable fixed-coupon notes due Feb. 26, 2020 linked to the least performing of the Dow Jones industrial average, the Nasdaq-100 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
Interest is payable quarterly.
The notes will be automatically called at par plus the coupon if each index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly call observation date after six months.
If the notes are not subject to an automatic call, the payout at maturity will be par unless any index has closed below the 70% trigger level during the life of the notes and either index finishes below its initial level. In that case, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the least-performing index from its initial level.
